Not just a bike,
but an endless path ahead.
Could ride it for a minute,
Could ride it for miles.
To have twists
To have turns,
Frowns or happy smiles.
To have loose pavement and rocks,
To having freshly made roads.
To have hot summer sun,
Or be scared of the cold.
To be riding with friends,
Or to be riding alone.
To be learning your steps,
Or to already be a pro.
To just push and keep going,
Or to be needing a break.
From finding that balance,
To using your gears.
For having a bike,
Is with you for years.
Nailed it!! So good. I can’t help but get a Robert Frost feel when I read your poetry. Your words are read with such ease but at the same time, so much beneath the surface. . . Such emotion, visual and meaning. Can’t wait to read your next one.
