Welcome to the first of a series of posts about my town, Cabinville.
Location and Weather
Cabinville is a small town settled in the valleys of a wonderful land. It was settled there because of the beautiful scenery and fresh, crisp air. The environment changes with the seasons, from the snowy mountaintops to the hot, summer days.
When the cold winter passes everyone gets rewarded with a gift for their troubles. The way the spring flowers bloom, and cover the ground like a blanket covers a baby. They are so soft, so colorful, so fragrant, that everybody who lives there stops to smell the roses. They come in many different colors, shapes, and sizes, just as we do.
The spring rains are like no other rains anybody has seen before. They are not gloomy, gray rains, but the kind of rains that make you smile. The type of rains that can either come gently or harshly, but are always colorful drops of water as if they came from Heaven.
The fall landscapes are as beautiful as you could ever imagine. The fields are bursting with colors, red, orange, yellow, green, and a sort of light brown that reminds you of hot chocolate in the winter snow. The air is so crisp and sharp, and can be waves of heat or chilly breezes.
The different, unique times of the year is part of what makes people want to live in Cabinville.
The temperatures are amazing. It never seems to get too hot or too cold, but it can be hot enough for a pool and cold enough for it to snow.
The location of Cabinville is beautiful as well.
Since it is settled in a valley, there is a variety of mountains, lakes, and sights to see.
There are also many trees, from fruit trees to maple trees.
Most of the fresh food in Cabinville is made in town.
The people there really like that because they can depend on their food to be fresh and good quality.
All of these factors are part of what makes Cabinville a great place to live.
Stay tuned for Cabinvile #3!
