It is crazy how you can walk into a building and walk out with a new home.

But, it is even crazier how the week before, you had no intentions on moving.

Back in September, we moved from New York to North Carolina into a rental home in a beautiful neighborhood. In fact, we liked that neighborhood so much, we are moving right next to it.

Our neighborhood has another bigger neighborhood by the same builders right next to it. Instead of renting for another year, we decided to buy a house that we can live in for years to come.

There are many things that influenced this decision.

First of all, the house we bought is the same style home. The floor plan is exactly the same, just on the opposite side. And it hasn’t been built yet, so we get to customize and design it to make it our own. My dad and I joke around that since it is so close, we can supervise the builders while it is being built.

Second of all, we do not have to relearn our environment. If we moved to a neighborhood in a different town, we wouldn’t know where any stores, parks, or things to do would be. But since we are basically in the same spot, it makes it much easier.

Third, it will be much easier because we do not need to hire movers or travel a long journey. We can move ourselves, and it will probably only take a few days.

I personally think moving again is a great decision. It makes much more sense then just renting another year. We know we love the area, and want to live here for a long time. There is so much to do, and the city of Raleigh is only 30 minutes away.

We will be moving sometime around early July, so we need to pack up our house by then. I am so excited!

Time to review my post, Packing!
